In February 2017, I will be getting on my bike and taking positive action in the fight against breast, ovarian and cervical cancers.

I will be part of an amazing group of women tackling the 6th Woman V Cancer challenge. As part of a women–only cycle team I will cycle around 450 kms over 6 days, both on and off-road through Vietnam to Cambodia, away from the tourist trails and hotspots.

The training has been hard and I am facing the extra challenge that after I signed up for the challenge, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, a life-long auto-immune condition that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints.

So besides training hard I needed to raise a minimum of £3,200 by November 2016 to support the work of the Women V Cancer charities, which I have surpassed but I hope to raise more during the cycle.

I will keep you updated of my training and once I am in South East Asia, I will hopefully be able to update you on my daily progress.
